Leah Kania '26 will serve as the student body president, while Aniya Qualls '27 will take on the role of vice president for the 2025-26 academic year.
The dynamic student leaders are eager to take on the BW Student Government mission to "serve, hear, and represent the needs of the student body," continuing BW's tradition of student-led governance and campus engagement.
Kania, a junior from Albion, New York, is pursuing a degree in voice performance. Passionate about student advocacy and progress, Kania is committed to fostering a forward-thinking campus environment.
"As I take on this new leadership position, I am most excited to continue the conversation for positive change and work to propel BW forward to benefit the current and future student body! #YJ4L," said Kania.
Qualls, a second-year student from Elyria, Ohio, is majoring in English with a minor in legal studies. Dedicated to ensuring that every student's voice is heard, Qualls brings a strong passion for communication and student representation to her new role.
"As Vice President, I am most looking forward to making sure the Student Body is, and feels, heard!" she said.
The newly elected leadership team is eager to work alongside faculty, staff and students to address key campus initiatives and enhance student life at Baldwin Wallace. Their dedication to advocacy and meaningful change will help shape a vibrant and supportive community for all students.
The BW community congratulates Kania and Qualls and looks forward to their leadership in the coming year. The pair officially took office during an inauguration ceremony on Tuesday, Feb. 25. Their term of office runs until the spring election in 2026.
