BW's new business analytics major leans into a growing need for professionals with advanced proficiencies in critical thinking, problem-solving and quantitative reasoning.
The new program is being offered through the Carmel Boyer School of Business and builds on BW's strong foundation of melding business acumen with analytical skills to prepare graduates for immediate career entry or advanced degree study. The business analytics major is taught by experienced faculty using industry-standard tools.
"In today's data-rich environment, organizations are increasingly relying on insights derived from data to drive strategic decision-making," said Dr. Herman Sahni, a BW professor who teaches in the program.
"This has led to a burgeoning demand for professionals in business analytics who have the skills and insights to help organizations optimize operations, improve products or services, and increase profitability," emphasized Sahni.
The new business analytics major helps position BW to be at the forefront of emerging industry trends, providing BW students with the essential skills they need to excel in their careers.
"Students in the program receive comprehensive training in building statistical models, analyzing and interpreting data, and synthesizing their findings into actionable insights. Throughout their coursework, students will enhance their critical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills, thus equipping them for success in a variety of professional settings within today's data-driven landscape," Sahni added.
In addition to offering an undergraduate major in business analytics, BW offers a business analytics MBA. For more information about attending BW for either program, contact admission.
