When Michael Petrella took to the mat in a men's wrestling match against Ohio Northern University, he needed one win to become Baldwin Wallace University's all-time wins leader.

Petrella's victory at ONU moved his record to 137-4 and added the title of winningest Yellow Jacket men's wrestler to a raft of honors, including two NCAA Division III national titles, All-American status, Ohio Athletic Conference champion and two perfect seasons.

The two-time defending 149-pound national champion and accounting major has won 98 straight matches dating back to the 2022 NCAA Championships finals, and he and the rest of the Yellow Jackets are not done yet.

As a team, BW claimed a share of the OAC regular season title for the fifth straight season against 15 nationally ranked ONU. Under head coach Jamie Gibbs, BW men's wrestling has finished in the top 10 in the nation for three straight seasons.
