BW celebrates 2024 Athletics Hall of Fame inductees

The nine accomplished Yellow Jacket honorees have left a lasting impact on the BW Athletics community.

Baldwin Wallace University inducted nine alumni representing a range of teams into the BW Athletics Hall of Fame earlier this month.

BW celebrated the newest Yellow Jacket Hall of Fame inductees during a Saturday induction ceremony that featured remarks from BW's own Jim Tressel '75. A tailgate and recognition by the crowd at Finnie Stadium followed the indoor ceremony (along with a football win for the Yellow Jackets).

High achievers

The honorees, whose dedication, hard work and achievements have left a lasting impact on the BW Athletics community and spirit, include:

  • Sarah Baker-Zito '13 – softball
  • Kris Boey '98 – men's cross country and track and field
  • Ariel Brough '10 – women's basketball
  • Brooke Hamilton-Seiler '13 – women's golf
  • Rebecca Kapusta '13 – women's golf
  • Doug Knight '95 – men's wrestling
  • Matt Kubinski '90 – football
  • Andy Schmitz '96 - honorary
  • Phil Stringer '90 – baseball 

They are now part of an elite group of 386 Yellow Jackets for Life who have been honored with induction into the Hall of Fame.
