WNBA Coach Curt Miller '90 served as an assistant coach for the winning 2024 USA Basketball Women's National Team.
When Baldwin Wallace University alumnus Curt Miller '90 was selected to be a scout and assistant coach for the dynasty that is Team USA Women's Basketball, he noted on social media that he was "humbled" and "honored" to be part of the team's run at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
"Having the opportunity to represent the USA and continue working with the best athletes in the world is something I don't take lightly," Miller said.
Over the weekend, he helped coach the team to earn the United States its eighth consecutive Olympic Gold Medal for women's basketball in a nail-biter against the host nation's Team France.
Miller is head coach of the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks and previously helmed the Connecticut Sun for seven seasons. The two-time WNBA Coach of the Year ranks 11th among coaches for all-time in WNBA wins with a 161-116 (.581) record, which is third among active head coaches.
Miller earned his B.A. in health and physical science and business administration and was also a BW Alumni Merit Award winner in 2015. He coached in the college ranks for a number of seasons before moving to the WNBA. During 11 seasons coaching at Bowling Green and two at Indiana University, he was a five-time finalist for Division I Coach of the Year.
