The Phi Theta Kappa honor acknowledges BW as an exceptional university that goes above and beyond for its transfer students.
Baldwin Wallace University is one of 208 colleges and universities nationwide named to Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society's 2024 Transfer Honor Roll.
BW has received this award in recent consecutive years in recognition of "strong transfer pathways that lead to excellence and success among community college transfer students."
According to PTK, the Transfer Honor Roll is "determined by 40 key metrics related to the support and success of transfer students, including college cost and financial aid, campus life for transfers, admission practices, and bachelor's degree completion."
BW continues to get a Transfer Friendliness Rating for best practices that ease and support the transition of transfer students. Among schools that made the Honor Roll, BW is one of the top 25% highest-rated colleges.
"The Transfer Honor Roll Program identifies colleges and universities that understand the unique needs of community college transfer students and applauds the dynamic pathways these colleges have created to continue fostering student success at the four-year college," shared Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner, president and CEO of Phi Theta Kappa.
Baldwin Wallace continues to ensure a seamless transfer process for students from regionally accredited two-year and four-year colleges and universities (with no application fee), completion scholarships for associate degree graduates and unofficial transfer credit evaluations for all prospective students.
Superior support for all undergraduate transfers extends to special circumstances like the closing of Notre Dame College this spring, which is expected to bring more than a dozen students into the Yellow Jacket family this fall. Nearly 100 other students will be transferring in from a range of institutions to complete their degrees.
