Baldwin Wallace University offers online graduate degree programs in business and education that are among the best in the nation, according to the latest rankings from U.S. News and World Report.
The magazine assessed online degree programs for more than 1,700 colleges to create its 2022 best lists.
BW is ranked at number 146 among the Best Online MBA Programs in the nation, fifth-best in all of Ohio, and is 162 on the national list of Best Online Graduate Education Programs.
U.S. News evaluated online master's degree programs in both business administration and education based on student excellence, "student engagement, services and technologies available to students, faculty credentials and training, as well as expert opinion on the academic quality of programs."
U.S. News pointed out that the disruptions of COVID-19 have accelerated online learning.
But the magazine also noted that while the pandemic spurred some schools to put programs online, "some institutions, like those ranked in the 2022 U.S. News Best Online Programs, were ahead of the curve, having offered online degree options for years."
At BW, the university continues to build on its pre-COVID-19 experience with remote learning to forge new flexible delivery methods that allow for all online, seated or a mix.
U.S. News reports, "Enrolling in an online program can often be a more affordable and flexible alternative to an in-person degree, especially for students who work or have children."
U.S. News also ranks BW's MBA among the Best Online Programs for Veterans, with the program landing at number 86 on the national list.
To make the cut, "schools must appear in the top half of the Best Online Programs rankings; be certified for the GI Bill; and either be Yellow Ribbon Program participants or public institutions that charge in-state tuition, which can be fully paid through the GI Bill for out-of-state applicants."
