2019 BW Bold & Gold Festival marks Homecoming, Community and Family Days

Bold and Gold Homecoming RoyaltyUnder crisp fall sunshine, BW students, families, alumni, faculty, staff, neighbors and friends celebrated Yellow Jacket pride and community at the annual Bold & Gold Festival.

The event combines the traditions of Homecoming, Community Day and Family Day into a multi-day celebration, led by BW Alumni Relations and the Student Life/Sophomore Class Officers.

A Thursday pep rally and Friday night concert set the stage for a full day of activities on Saturday, October 5, including affinity group reunions, a parade, the crowning of Homecoming royalty, entertainment and a cookout on North Quad.

BW mascot Stinger helped out at Knowlton Center groundbreakingIn the midst of the festivities, BW also broke ground and honored the generous donors that are supporting construction of the new Austin E. Knowlton Center, a hub for STEM education fueled by major Knowlton Foundation funding.

With a win on the gridiron capping off the day, BW's Bold & Gold celebration soared in 2019.
