Student radio personalities for The Sting claim national awards

Isaac Luther and Madeline Carter show off their awards

As it marked six decades of broadcasting, Baldwin Wallace's WBWC 88.3 "The Sting" was nationally recognized at the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS) 78th Annual International School/College/Community Radio/TV/Webcast/Media Conference this spring.

WBWC 60 and counting logo

WBWC radio personalities and station board members Madeline Carter '19 and Isaac Luther '19 scooped up awards for "Best Logo," which was designed by Luther in celebration of the station's 60-year anniversary, and "Best News Promo" finalist recognizing Carter's work.

Carter, a broadcasting and mass communications major, participates extensively with WBWC as both news director and through her board leadership.

Serving as the board's director of operations and as a disc jockey, Luther, a marketing major, designed the award-winning logo, which captures his "60 and Counting" concept.

WBWC is BW's own noncommercial, educational radio station that provides hands-on experience in communications, business writing, electronics, performance, public relations, music and management.
