Baldwin Wallace University's recent designation as a "Voter Friendly Campus" extends to student government as well local and national elections. The undergraduate student body elected the ticket of Ezra Ohly '22 and Ryan Bolin '22 to serve as the 109th BW Student Body President and Vice President on Wednesday, February 17, 2021.
Ohly, a junior from Wellington, Ohio, is a digital marketing major with a minor in management. She is currently an account specialist with BW's Digital Marketing Center, working with the Cleveland Leadership Center. She is also a sister of Alpha Phi Sorority and a BW Student Ambassador. In student government, Ohly has served as a student senator, sophomore class president, chair of the senate diversity committee and, most recently, as student senate president.
"I am honored to be representing the student body and cannot wait to use my position to make BW a better community for all students," said Ohly. "I look forward to working on our initiatives and continuing to build the connection between the administration, student government and the student body. Thank you all for your support!"
Bolin, a junior from Berea, Ohio, is a political science and business information systems double major, with a public & nonprofit management minor. He is the district secretary-treasurer for the Ohio District of Circle K International and the service chair of the Honors Leadership Board. In student government, he has served as a student senator and, most recently, was the chair of the Senate Finance & Policy Committee.
"I am extremely excited to continue in a leadership role in student government and on campus," Bolin said. "We face many challenges around our campus, and I am looking forward to being a voice for the students as we work together to make our campus a better place for all students."
The student body president and vice president serve as liaisons between students and the university administration. The pair officially took office on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, during an inauguration ceremony.
