Education grad tapped for high-performing superintendent post

Jodie HausmanBaldwin Wallace MAEd Leadership in Technology graduate Jodie Hausmann has made significant accomplishments in her position as superintendent of Perkins Local School District and is now preparing to take over as superintendent of the Bay Village City School District, one of the top-performing districts in Ohio.

Starting August 1, Hausmann takes over for Superintendent Clint Keener, who is retiring after 14 years.

During her time as the Perkins superintendent, Hausmann oversaw success in strategic planning, the passage of multiple levies and improvement in Ohio School Report Card scores. She previously served as director of teaching and learning in the Parma City Schools, where she had also served as an elementary school principal and elementary school teacher. Along the way, she completed her masters degree at BW.

In an interview with cleveland.com, Hausmann said, "To work in a district like Bay Village with such achievement and excellence is such an exciting opportunity to serve and to grow in my leadership."

Bay Village School Board President Steve Lee praised Hausmann's credentials. He said, "We believe Jodie can keep us on our path of excellence while meeting a variety of new challenges we face in the future. We are all very much looking forward to working with her."
