USA Boccia Cleveland Rock 'N Roll Regional Tournament
Hosted by Youth Challenge and Baldwin Wallace University
Thirty-four athletes from across the country will compete in 60+ matches over two days in the Paralympic sport of Boccia, a target throwing game of strategy and accuracy. The sport is played on a flat, smooth surface, where players must throw or roll colored balls as close as possible to a white target ball, known as the "jack" ball.
BW's Adapted Physical Activity class will be hosting the tournament in collaboration with local non-profit, Youth Challenge (YC), which specializes in adaptive sport for people with physical disabilities. YC's local team, the Narwhals, features eight disabled boccia athletes who will be competing against competitors from Chicago, St. Louis, New York City, Columbus, and beyond.
Event is free and open to the public.
No tickets required.
