Better Together
Artist-teacher pianists Sungeun Kim and Robert Mayerovitch share an afternoon of musical whimsy, romance, sparkle and nostalgia.
For your listening pleasure, they'll offer the inventive Saint-Saëns "Variations on a Theme of Beethoven," Op. 35, based on a quirky menuetto trio section.
Next comes the Second Suite by Rachmaninoff, with an array of emotionally compelling movements that conjure a march, a waltz, a romance and a tarantella.
Finally, and for an extended encore, they'll share a recurrent BW favorite: the Willim Hirtz "Wizard of Oz Fantasy," a recasting of well-known tunes from the classic film.
Event is free and open to the public.
No tickets required.
