Sara Smith

Smith is a collaborative pianist in the BW Conservatory of Performing Arts. She has been at BW for 25 years and was previously a staff pianist at the Cleveland Institute of Music for 10 years. She also served as the head of the accompanying department at the Cleveland Music School Settlement, where she was a member of the theory, piano and accompanying faculty for 18 years.

In addition to her work with regional theaters and at BW, she teaches piano and theory in her home studio; accompanies the Western Reserve Chorale, BW Motet Choir and Treble Choir; and is on the music staff at Old South Church in Kirtland, Ohio.

Smith works as a performer, educator, arranger and accompanist in the Cleveland area. She is also a proud member of the American Federation of Musicians, Local 4.

She has performed in regional venues, including Great Lakes Theater, Cleveland Play House, Play House Square, ArtsBridge summer intensives, Broadway Dreams, Dazzle Awards, Opera Per Tutti, Cleveland Opera on Tour, Access to the Arts, and assorted other theater, dance and choral organizations.
