Dr. Tamara Rand received a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in history at Cleveland State University and a doctorate from University of Akron. She also holds a Master of Arts in economics from Cleveland State University. She has taught survey courses in European history from the early Middle Ages through the 20th century, the history of the Black Death, American history, African history, and Middle Eastern history. She has presented papers internationally on topics such as women in the creation of historic memory, colonial and postcolonial studies of the Middle Ages and the use of chivalric and romantic literature as political commentary.
