Lorann Murphy is a lecturer for psychiatric courses in BW's accelerated BSN program. Murphy is a nurse innovator in psychiatric clinical nursing, with her clinical work and as a published educator and presenter, Murphy leads her field to improve care for a rapidly changing global population through the understanding of strong mental health.
To broaden healthcare perspectives and foster diversity, she guides clinical teams by providing psychiatric mental health expertise to nursing and physician staffs in clinical settings including private practice, nursing homes and hospitals. As a private practice prescriber her work includes assessment, treatment planning and medication management both in person and via telehealth medicine.
Her career-spanning research has created new approaches to the delivery of care and communicates health information in a way that is easily accessible to patients, families and the community. She serves on numerous committees which complement her mission to positively impact human health.
