Lora Harley is an assistant professor of accounting in the Baldwin Wallace Carmel Boyer School of Business. Before joining BW, Harley held a faculty position at Walsh University, where she taught intermediate accounting, federal taxation, managerial accounting, and data analytics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Prior to her career in higher education, Harley spent 14 years in public accounting providing accounting and tax services to clients in health care segments across Northeast Ohio. She also provided consulting services and conducted additional engagement work in the areas of medical practice mergers and evaluations of internal controls. Harley also spent seven years at The Timken Company working in the areas of internal audit, cost accounting and SAP systems implementation.
Harley is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Ohio. She received a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Walsh University, and a Master of Business Administration from Malone University. Harley is also an active volunteer in her community currently serving on the boards of Lifecare Family Health and Dental Center (Federally Qualified Health Center) and the Stark County Library Foundation.
