Dr. Adam Gutschmidt is an lecturer teaching courses in both the communication and business administration departments. Before joining Baldwin Wallace, Gutschmidt was an assistant professor in communication studies at Ashford University (now University of Arizona Global Campus). Gutschmidt has also taught communication courses at Lorain County Community College, Wright State University, North Carolina State University, and the University of Dayton.
Gutschmidt has recently taken an interest in examining the role of assessment in higher education and earned a Higher Education Assessment Specialist Certificate from James Madison University in 2020. He also has recently worked with BW’s Educational Technology department to assist in the University’s transition to the Canvas LMS. Outside of academia, Gutschmidt demonstrates his love of film by being a regular contributor to the “How Did This Get Made?” podcast, which is devoted to trying to make sense of bad movies that make no sense.
