Angela Douglas returns to her alma mater as an assistant professor of the department of nursing. Most recently she served at Cleveland State University for six years teaching courses in the undergraduate program including health assessment, med/surg clinical rotations, laboratory skills, community health and online RN-BSN courses. Prior to CSU, she spent time at Cuyahoga Community College as a clinical instructor teaching critical care rotations. In addition to teaching nursing students, she is a Certified Nurse Practitioner with Cleveland Clinic Akron General and currently practices in the pre-surgical setting.
She has over 12 years of nursing and advanced practice experience including emergency, urgent care, intensive care unit, perioperative and physical medicine and rehabilitation settings. In addition, Angela is also a Certified Athletic Trainer and spent many years working with athletic teams at Olmsted Falls High School prior to her career in nursing.
She is currently working on her doctorate in nursing practice at Case Western Reserve University with a scholarly project focus on surgical outcomes of supplementation use in the adult orthopedic patient population.
Douglas is a member of the American Nurses Association, the Ohio Nurses Association, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, Sigma Theta Tau International and currently serves as the Nu Delta Chapter treasurer. She is also a member of the National League of Nurses and is a Certified Nurse Educator.
