Eric Bonilla, CCC-SLP is an assistant professor of the communication sciences and disorders department at Baldwin Wallace. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in speech-language pathology from The University of Akron. He received a Ph.D. in advanced studies in human behavior from Capella University where he researched the perceptions of speech-language pathology professors on counseling-related apprehension among SLPs.
As the newest faculty member of the communication sciences and disorders program, Bonilla taught a course on Adult Language Disorders at the graduate level and provided clinical supervision of students in the university clinic across various populations.
Prior to BW, Bonilla practiced as a speech-language pathologist in acute care, skilled nursing, outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation settings. He also has experience guest lecturing at multiple universities and within the community on topics such as memory decline among the aging population and the importance of counseling in speech-language pathology.
