Ellen Bertke is an adjunct instructor in Baldwin Wallace University’s nursing department. Her clinical teaching areas are obstetrics and medical-surgical nursing.
Her professional experience includes the emergency department, labor and delivery, postpartum and perioperative. She has worked as a staff nurse, an ANM, a nursing supervisor and nurse manager.
Bertke has a graduate certificate in nursing education from the University of St. Francis. She is certified in two specialties, emergency nursing and medical surgical nursing, and teaches BLS, ACLS and PALS.
She has presented on sepsis at Cleveland State University and critical thinking in the CSU RN refresher class. She is a member of ENA, ASPAN, Sigma Tau and the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses.
