Which Healthcare Graduate Program is Right for You?

Our healthcare management MBA and healthcare management graduate certificate aim to enable students to become competent, confident leaders and expose them to critical management, legal, economic and technological issues. To help you choose the right program, we've highlighted some of the key differences between the two programs below.

Healthcare Management MBA - Flexible Program Option

Curriculum

The healthcare management MBA specialization combines three of our most powerful healthcare courses with a sequence of core MBA classes designed to enhance your leadership capabilities and business knowledge. This diverse mix of coursework makes the program an excellent option for anyone interested in a career change or who wants to build upon current skills and experience.

Program Format

The healthcare management MBA is one of our flexible MBA program options, which allows students to choose their start term (fall, spring or summer), the pace of the program and three options for attending classes (in-person, in real-time online or by watching the recorded class session). Students can utilize all three options throughout the program based on the most convenient option for their schedule.

MBA core classes are offered Monday through Thursday evenings. Healthcare management specialization classes follow the weekend cohort schedule and are offered on alternating Friday evenings and during the day on Saturday for the fall and spring semesters.

This MBA can also be earned using our stackable graduate certificates, which allow students to earn credits toward an MBA degree and earn micro-credentials along the way.

Healthcare Management Graduate Certificate

Curriculum

The healthcare management certificate is 15 credit hours, combining core healthcare courses along with a class grounded in systems theory, which guides managers to avoid analyzing problems in isolation and instead develop an integrated approach. Students can earn an MBA degree by combining this certificate with two additional certificates and a capstone course.
