Which Healthcare Graduate Program is Right for You?
Our healthcare MBA, healthcare management MBA and healthcare management graduate certificate aim to enable students to become competent, confident leaders and expose them to critical management, legal, economic and technological issues. To help you choose the right program, we've highlighted some of the key differences between the three programs below.
Healthcare MBA - Weekend Cohort Program
Curriculum
The healthcare MBA, is designed with healthcare issues and applications at the forefront. The foundational business courses that make up the core of a BW MBA have been redesigned, enabling students to implement their knowledge in the context of current and emerging trends in healthcare.
This program also offers an optional specialization in applied analytics to prepare students to leverage data to design growth strategies, manage change and make more informed business decisions. Experienced professionals who enroll in this program can expect a diverse cohort of classmates with both clinical and professional backgrounds - providing ample networking opportunities.
Program Format
The program schedule is flexible and ideal for working professionals who seek a graduate degree without interrupting their career.
The healthcare MBA is designed to allow the student to have multiple entry points to start classes, and while this is primarily a seated program, students can participate in real time online or by watching the recorded class session. The cohort is designed to be completed in two years but can accommodate an individual plan over a more extended period.
Classes meet on alternating weekends on Friday nights and Saturdays in the fall and the spring; no courses are held in the summer. This flexible schedule allows you to balance a personal, work and school life.

This diverse mix of coursework makes the program an excellent option for anyone interested in a career change or who wants to build upon current skills and experience.
Program Format
The healthcare management MBA is one of our flexible MBA program options, which allows students to choose their start term (fall, spring or summer), the pace of the program and three options for attending classes (in-person, in real-time online or by watching the recorded class session). MBA core classes are offered Monday through Thursday evenings. Healthcare management specialization classes follow the weekend cohort schedule and are offered on alternating Friday evenings and during the day on Saturday for the fall and spring semesters.
This MBA can also be earned using our stackable graduate certificates, which allow students to earn credits toward an MBA degree and earn micro-credentials along the way.
