Majors: National Security, International Studies, and Political Science
Favorite quote: "What's the point in doing something if you don't give it your all."
Biggest mistake as a first-year student? What did you learn? Waiting until the last minute to do assignments and not schedule properly. I learned how to make a calendar and also check it daily.
How did you choose your major? I was not pleased with any criminal justice programs at schools like Kent State or Ohio State. Their programs focused on cyber security or small security concerns that align with local police work. I was interested in security in all aspects of the word. I wanted to study threats to national security while also studying the health of the nation's people and environment. Baldwin Wallace University is one of the few schools in Ohio to have this revolutionary major. As for my other two majors they complement my work and the classes I take mostly count for all three.
What has been your best experience at BW? The transformation I had during summer orientation has been my best and most beneficial experience at BW. I went from being a slightly introverted student to an extrovert and making the most out of school. Once one is comfortable in the BW community joining clubs and organizations does not seem so intimidating. Keeping an open mind at orientation is key to getting the most out of that experience.
Favorite spot on campus? The math and computer science computer lab (MACS). It is not the most flashy spot but it is where I get the majority of my work done. This place is open 24/7 with computers to allow students to study for long hours. I do not recommend constantly pulling all nighters at MACS, but I can guarantee you will have a couple of those nights.
