Resolve Registration Hold

You can follow the steps listed below to help you resolve a registration or transcript hold at BW. We recommend reviewing each question in order to find the best resolution.

Students with financial holds may request their transcripts for employment purposes by contacting Theresa Blascak at tblascak@bw.edu. These transcripts may only be sent directly to the student's employer.

1. Do you know your current balance?

Yes. Please move on to the next question.
No. Visit bw.edu/billing-statement to learn how to read your billing statement and find out where students and parents can log in to view statements. You may access your statement through MyRecords.

2. Do you know the current status of your financial aid?

Yes. Please move on to the next question.
No. Visit MyRecords to access your financial aid information.

3. Have you accepted your Federal Direct student loans?

Yes, the loans have been credited to my billing account. Please move on to the next question.
No. You will need to complete two additional steps to accept your Federal Direct loan(s). View information on Federal Direct loans to help guide your next steps.

4. Has a parent applied for a PLUS loan?

Yes, the loan has been credited to my billing account. Please move on the next question.
Yes, but they were denied. Please complete the request for additional Federal Direct Unsubsidized loans by filling out and submitting form #4 on the financial services forms webpage.
No. Parent PLUS loans are a common way for families to help meet the remaining costs associated with going to college. View information on Federal Parent PLUS loans.
No. My parents do not want to apply for a PLUS loan. Please move to the next question.

5. Have you considered a Private Education loan?

Yes, the loan has been credited to my billing account. Please move on the next question.
Yes, but we have not yet applied for one. View information on how to apply for private education loans.
No. Private Education loans are another option that families may pursue to help cover their out-of-pocket costs. View information on private education loans.
No. My family is unable or unwilling to take out a private education loan. Please move to the next question.

6. Are you working on campus?
