Financial Aid for Graduate Students
Baldwin Wallace offers financial support options to assist graduate and professional students with meeting their education goals. Scholarships, fellowships and/or assistantships may be offered based on your program. Details regarding these options can be found on each program's page.
The majority of students enrolled in graduate and professional programs at BW utilize federal and/or private loans to invest in their future.
Please note that grant assistance (need-based aid from federal and state governments and BW) is not available for graduate students, only non-need-based institutional funds outlined on each program's page or loans. Once the financial aid application is complete, the eligibility for Federal Direct Loan funds will be calculated.

Registration Requirements
To qualify for a loan, you must be enrolled at least half time:
-
For graduate students (MBA, MAEd and License + Master's programs), this equates to at least three credit hours per term.
-
For undergraduate students (earning a teaching licensure or second bachelor's degree - including the ABSN), this equates to at least six credit hours per term.
You also must be registered half time by the end of the first week of the term AND on the date of disbursement.
Disbursement Information
Loan funds are distributed evenly among your half-time semesters in the given academic year and disbursed electronically at the beginning of each term directly into your BW billing account. If you only attend one semester in an academic year, the funds are split into equal disbursements at the beginning of the term and the middle of the term.

BW Payment Plan
Baldwin Wallace University offers a tuition payment plan as an interest-free way to break down your education expenses into monthly installments. This may be utilized for the entire cost of your financial responsibility, or any portion not met by loans or other resources. The semester payment plan for students includes a processing fee of $35 per semester. For details, please refer to information provided at BW's One Stop.
Private Education Loans
Private education loans are credit-based loans in the student's name (may require a co-signer.) Most of these loans offer deferment of repayment until six months after graduation or until six months after falling below half-time status as a student. When considering this option please compare repayment options, interest rates and the origination fees of each loan. The basic terms and conditions of private education loans vary from lender to lender and we encourage all borrowers to review and evaluate each program. When researching education financing, federal funds should always be considered first. You can apply and review terms and conditions of various lenders on our website through the Private Education Loan Selection Tools.
