Lynn Schulte is a professor of accounting at Baldwin Wallace University. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Ohio. Before joining the BW faculty, Schulte was the tax consultant at a Cleveland-based law firm and at a national financial services company where her responsibilities included individual, business, and fiduciary tax research, filings and planning for private wealth management clients.
Schulte’s own accounting and tax practice focused primarily on individual, trust and small business tax consultation and providing accounting services to small service and manufacturing companies. Schulte also has experience in generating SEC filing reports for a major utility where responsibilities included financial statement preparation, deviation reporting, historical analysis, and implementation of refined subsidiary accounting procedures. Her areas of specialty include individual taxation, entity taxation, financial accounting, managerial accounting, and financial statement analysis.
She has been the American Taxation Association Section Peer Review Process Liaison for the Ohio Region and has been a regular presenter for the Cleveland Institute of Art, The Cleveland Young Arts Professional Network, Bad Girl Ventures, and Ameriprise Financial Services.
Schulte is faculty advisor to BW's tax clinic, a hands-on experience for students to provide free tax service to the community.
