Before joining BW, Dr. Ken Schneck was a faculty member, dean of students and the chief student affairs officer at Marlboro College. He teaches courses on student development theory; diversity and anti-racism in higher education; college leadership; and the intersection of public policy and university life.
He has been elected to several national positions within the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), including creating and serving as the first national chair of the Alcohol and Other Drug Knowledge Community and serving two terms as the Vermont state director.
Schneck is also a noted journalist. He created and serves as the founding editor of The Buckeye Flame, Ohio’s only statewide LGBTQ+ publication. In 2021, his work received the Sarah Pettit Memorial Award for LGBTQ Journalist of the Year from NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ Journalists. For 10 years, he served as the host and producer of "This Show is So Gay," a nationally-syndicated, award-winning radio show and podcast.
