Colleen Nye

Dr. Colleen Nye teaches both undergraduate and graduate-level courses supporting healthcare related majors and programs. She contributes a great deal of time and efforts to directing pre-healthcare related programs and serves as an academic advisor and research mentor for students pursuing careers in medicine.
 
Nye is the director of BW's medical school early assurance program, a pre-medical pathway that offers early assurance for medical school for students pursuing a medical degree in primary or specialty medicine. As director of this program, Nye manages the relationships with early assurance partners (NEOMED, OUHCOM, LECOM) and mentors the talented students who pursue the pathway.
 
She is also the faculty advisor to the BW Pre-Medical Society, Delta Omega Chi. Her responsibilities include attending all meetings, overseeing the actions of the executive board, and supporting their efforts to schedule guest speakers and provide valuable experiential learning activities for its members.
