Peter Kwiatkowski, Esq, teaches in the Baldwin Wallace Carmel Boyer School of Business in the accounting and business law department.
He received a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, majoring in interdisciplinary studies and minoring in political science, from Miami University in 1988. He earned a Juris Doctorate from The University of Akron in 1991 and worked for the City of Akron in both the civil and criminal departments throughout and immediately following law school.
After being admitted to the bar, he continued his public service experience as a prosecutor in Wayne County, Ohio. With a desire to grow his career in a larger city, he launched his private practice in Cleveland in 1993. His continuing legal practice focuses on serving the needs of start-ups and small businesses, helping them navigate and prepare for the various obstacles that face all growing companies.
Kwiatkowski began teaching at Baldwin Wallace in 2009 as an adjunct instructor and joined the faculty as a full-time associate professor of 2019. He teaches for both the school of business and the political science department. He brings his experience from various legal scenarios to facilitate engaging and current classroom discussions.
He has been an assistant coach for the CSU Intercollegiate Ethics Case Competition and is a current member of BW's Accounting Advisory Board.
Kwiatkowski also serves as the Carmel Boyer School of Business’ Legal Curriculum Lead, BW's Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) for the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) and BW's assistant pre-law advisor with the Law School Admissions Council (LSAC). He also volunteers as a faculty mentor to Sigma Phi Epsilon.
