What is your favorite quote?
"Inch by inch life is a cinch, yard by yard life is hard."
What was your biggest mistake as a first year student? What did you learn from that experience?
My biggest mistake was not taking classes seriously until the second semester and I learned that the classes themselves are important to my growth and development as a mature adult.
How did you choose your major?
I love helping people and talking to people and I thought that Psych was a great match for me because it gives me the opportunities to help and talk with people who truly need it.
What has been you best experience at BW so far?
My best experience at BW was actually being an Orientation Leader last year because I feel it really made me get out of my comfort zone, allowed me to be goofy, and talk to all the incoming first years as well as prepare them for their first year.
What is your favorite spot on campus?
My favorite spot on campus has got to be the Lou Higgins Recreation Center because I am there everyday for basketball practice or just to go lift. It is where I study, socialize, and improve my basketball skills. If anyone wants to find me just go to the rec and I will most likely be there.
What movie star would play the role of you in a movie? Why?
I would have to say Stu from the Hangover because everything he says gets made fun of by his friends and that is how my friends and I am and I wouldn't have it any other way.
What was the best advice given to you by your parents or family members during your first year?
To not be afraid to ask questions or get help. BW is a small school, which means professors have more time to help you individually. So, asking questions after class and getting help outside of class to make sure I did not fall behind made my first year here easier and laid down a solid foundation for the rest of my college career.
Final Word:
Don't come in thinking you know everything. There are things that we will show you that will help you be a successful student. Also, participate, don't anticipate. Do as much as you can at BW, don't watch your college life go by. Finally, Have fun, don't let stress get the better of you, stay on top of things and experience life at BW to its fullest.
