Weekly Program Coordinators

Weekly Programs:

The Office of Community Outreach has several weekly programs, each of which involves a group of students serving at a local agency for a few hours each week throughout the BW school year (except during BW breaks).

Role of Weekly Program Coordinators:

Weekly Program Coordinators are responsible for all aspects of leading a weekly program at an established service site. Duties include serving as a liaison between OCO and the community partner, recruiting service participants, planning and facilitating reflection, and driving students to and from the service site (BW van provided). Weekly Program Coordinators will meet as a group approximately once every other week (Tuesdays at 12:00 p.m.).  Like all OCO Team Members, Weekly Program Coordinators participate in monthly All-OCO Team meetings, retreats once per semester, and OCO special events such as Saturday of Service.

We are currently seeking a 2014-2015 Weekly Program Coordinator for Boys and Girls Club.

Each week, BW students join the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland in their mission to "inspire and enable young people who need us most to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens."  Student participants develop relationships with youth at the West Side Club while helping with homework and participating in recreational activities like kickball, crafts and games.

In addition to the duties described above, the Boys and Girls Club Weekly Program Coordinator is responsible for occasionally planning structured activities for the BW participants to do along with children at Boys and Girls Club.
