Weekly Program Coordinators

What are OCO Weekly Programs?

The Office of Community Outreach has several weekly programs, each of which involves a group of students serving at a local agency for a few hours each week throughout the BW school year (except during college breaks).

Role of Weekly Program Coordinators:

Weekly Program Coordinators are responsible for all aspects of leading a weekly program at an established service site. Duties include serving as a liaison between OCO and the community partner, recruiting service participants, planning and facilitating reflection, and driving students to and from the service site (BW van provided). Weekly Program Coordinators will meet as a group approximately once every other week (Thursday at 12:00 p.m.). Like all OCO Leadership Team Members, Weekly Program Coordinators are also expected to attend OCO Leadership Retreats (one per semester) and assist the Special Projects Team with special events such as Saturday of Service, Gift Drive, Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week and so on.  A year-long commitment is expected.

We currently have one Weekly Program Coordinator position open for 2013-2014!

Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities - CCBDD (Wednesdays, 3:25-5:30)

Adults with developmental disabilities visit campus each Wednesday to socialize with BW students through crafts, games, field trips, and other activities.  The CCBDD Weekly Program Coordinator is responsible planning and facilitating the activities in addition to recruiting participants, serving as liaison to the community partner organization, and facilitating reflection after each program.
