How To Become a Member of the Greek Community
There are three ways:
(1) Fall Formal Recruitment
Sorority Recruitment - Sorority Formal Recruitment will be held during Fall Semester. This is an opportunity for interested women to meet and get to know the five National Panhellenic Conference sororities on the Baldwin Wallace campus. For a complete schedule of events, or to register for formal recruitment, check out the Sorority Recruitment page in the near future.
Fraternity Recruitment - Fraternity Spring Formal Recruitment will be held Sunday, February 10 through Sunday, February 17. This is an opportunity for interested men to meet and get to know the five North-American Interfraternity Conference fraternities on the Baldwin Wallace campus. For a complete schedule of events, or to register for formal recruitment, check out the Fraternity Recruitment page.
The Fraternity Community will also sponsor a Spring Formal Recruitment Week. More details will be released in the near future.
(2) Informal Recruitment
Periodically throughout the school year, some fraternities and sororities will sponsor informal recruitment events that provide an opportunity for interested students to meet members of those chapters. For information about informal recruitment opportunities, look for flyers and other information to be posted around campus or contact the Office of Greek Life at firstname.lastname@example.org or (440) 826-2356.
(3) Membership Intake
Alpha Phi Alpha (ΑΦΑ) Fraternity, Inc.; Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA) Sorority, Inc. and Delta Sigma Theta (ΔΣΘ) Sorority, Inc. are members of the National Pan-Hellenic Conference and do not participate in Baldwin Wallace's Recruitment periods. Rather, historically African-American fraternities and sororities participate in a process known as Membership Intake. For more information about joining Alpha Phi Alpha or Delta Sigma Theta, please contact the Office of Greek Life at email@example.com or (440) 826-2356.
