2005 Summer Course Schedule - English

Evening Division - Minimester A

ENG-328-AE1Major Authors: Toni Morrison 4  6:15PM-8:15PM  MW  MART 209
N. Wurzel
Preq: Six hours of literature (ENG 126F, 127F, 128F or one of the former and one
of ENG 241IF, 242IF, 250, 280IF or the quivalent in transferred credits.)
This study of selected novels will follow the course of Morrison's imagination
as she explores, gender, race, history, and nature in mythic terms; meditates
on individual liberty and personal courage, and weaves magic into her tales.
Lush in language, deeply poignant but not without humor, Morrison's novels offer
great reading for the summer--or any time.
