NEW!!! This course will look at care provisions in the U.S. from a sociological perspective. The overall theme focuses on how the processes of caregiving have changed over time and continue to change. The course will also compare the policies of select countries in regard to care. Using a variety of perspectives, particular attention will be given to two types of caring: the paid caregiving of children and caring for the elderly in nursing homes.
