Open to any Evening/Weekend student; Day students: Junior or Senior status with a minimum 3.2 GPA; This course is a new hybrid distance learning course. It will meet on campus for the first class, midterm and final and will be held over the Internet for the remainder of the class sessions. No lab. You will meet on campus on Sunday, May 19 from 8am to 12pm and then again on July 9 from 6:15pm-8:15pm.

This course will meet 9:00am-5:00pm on each of the following days: Saturday-Sunday, July 20-21; Wednesday, July 24 and Saturday-Sunday, July 27-28
The goal of this course is to help students develop an understanding of science and its relationship with society. We attempt to answer the questions: who, what, where, why, how and who pays for science. This will be accomplished by reading, writing, and class discussion. In addition to selected readings from the required books, periodicals, textbooks, TV, radio, novels, and newspapers are all incluced as possible sources of info.
