Diversity-Alumni Engagement

A major part of an institution's diversity portfolio is creating avenues to engage diverse alumni.  Diversity Affairs (including Multicultural Student Services) has aggressively partnered with Alumni Relations to involve graduates of color in the life of the college on an on-going basis.  Several events are sponsored during the academic year to draw graduates of color representing several generations spanning back to the late 1950's.

2012-2013 Diversity Affairs- Alumni Engagement Events include:

  • Summer Mix & Mingle at Deagan's and Sergio's Sarava
  • President's House Reception
  • Homecoming Multicultural Student Services Open House and Tailgating
  • Obie Bender Multicultural Student Awards Ceremony

Co-Chairs of the Diversity Alumni Netowrk (DAN)
