The Baldwin Wallace University Women's Tennis Team Drops a 6-3 Decision at
Kenyon College and is Now 9-3 Overall
BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team was defeated by nonleague foe Kenyon College, 6-3, today (Tuesday, March 29, 2005) in Gambier, Ohio. With the loss, the Yellow Jackets fall to 9-3 overall.
In singles play, sophomore number one singles player Andrea Isaac (New Philadelphia) won in straight sets of 6-1 and 6-1 and was the lone Yellow Jacket to win. Isaac, this week's Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week, improved to 13-4 this season and 32-5 in her collegiate career.
In doubles action, the number one duo of Isaac and freshman second singles player Meggie Glassburn (Canton/ Jackson) won 8-6 and the number three tandem of freshmen Krista Marshall (Medina/ Senior) and Tiffany Allison (Chagrin Falls/ Kenston) were victorious by an 8-6 count. With their win at No.1, Isaac and Glassburn are now 12-4 overall. Marshall and Allison improved to 9-1 this season.
The Yellow Jackets will be back in action this Saturday, April 2 when they host Ohio Athletic Conference rival Capital University at the "Pop" Collins Tennis Complex at 1:00 p.m.
