Program Success in the 2000s
In the 2000's the Yellow Jackets had a 212-130 record and played one of the most competitive schedules in NCAA Division III.  BW averaged 21.2 wins per season and earned a share of the OAC regular season title three times, won the OAC Tournament once and was the runner-up three times.

Last season, with an extremely young team, Brault and her team produced a 20-13 record. With many of those same student-athletes returning in 2011, BW enters the first season of its next decade with a great deal of excitement.

"We play an extremely competitive schedule," said Coach Brault. "We feel that by playing a top-flight nonleague schedule that we can prepare our young women for the always-tough OAC schedule and OAC Tournament."

This fall (2011), BW plays at the Kalamazoo (Mich.), BW Marcia French, DePauw (Ind.) and OAC/ HCAC Challenge tournaments in addition to playing its nine matches in the rugged OAC and a top-knotch independent schedule.

The Baldwin Wallace University volleyball program is continually striving for excellence by stressing the development of the complete volleyball athlete capable of executing the basic skills to the highest degree.

"Our goal is to develop each young woman into the best person she can be," said Brault. "We do that by supporting and making academics our number one priority with volleyball and all other things second.  We also have a lot fun building and maturing as a team."

Volleyball Developmental Goals

To achieve excellence, the Baldwin Wallace volleyball athlete is asked to be self-disciplined and unselfishly dedicated in order to place the goals of the team ahead of any personal recognition. However, the ultimate objective of the Baldwin Wallace volleyball program is the growth and maturity of each individual student-athlete through the medium of sport.

The Ohio Athletic Conference and Division III
Baldwin Wallace University women participate in the 10-team Ohio Athletic Conference.  Considered to be among the finest NCAA Division III conferences in the national, the OAC offers competition in 21 sports for men and women.

Annually, OAC volleyball teams have been among the best in the Great Lakes Region and in the NCAA Division III national rankings.  The winner of the prestigious OAC Tournament receives an automatic berth in the Division III National Tournament.

Annually, the Yellow Jackets are a challenger for both the OAC regular season and OAC Tournament titles. Since 2000, BW has won three OAC regular season and one OAC Tournament title and last advanced to the NCAA Division III National Tournament in 2000.
