GENERAL NOTES:   Mitch Supan is one of the best male throwers in the history of Baldwin Wallace University track and field. He earned Division III All-American honors in 2010 as a freshman outdoors by placing eighth in the discus when BW hosted the national championship meet in Berea. A year later in 2011, he earned his second Division III All-American award by placing fourth in the discus at the national meet at Ohio Wesleyan University.

2012 Notes:  Mitch Suppan is competing in his junior season of track and field. He was named as the "Sparky" Adams Most Valuable Field Athlete of the Meet at the 2012 OAC Outdoor Championship Meet when he won the discus and hammer throws and placed second in the shot put. Currently, Mitch ranks ninth nationally in Division III in the shot (56'3.75"), 12th in the discus (170'5") and 23rd in the hammer (180'4").
    During the indoor season, Mitch was named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Male Track Athlete of the Week on January 30 (his second career OAC POW indoor award). At the OAC Indoor Championship Meet, he won the 35-pound weight throw (58'4.5") and placed fourth in the shot put (52'10.75").
    During the outdoor season, Mitch was named as the OAC Male Track Athlete of the Week on April 2 (his second outdoor OAC POW award). See above for his efforts at the OAC Outdoor Championship Meet.

2011 Notes: Named OAC Field Athlete of the Week on February 14, 2011 for his performance in the All-Ohio Indoor Track & Field Meet where he posted season-bests in the weight throw (57' 9.75") and shot put (51'3") and provisionally qualifying for the 2011 NCAA Division III Indoor National Championship Meet in each event. Posted an outdoor season-best and provisionally qualified for the 2011 NCAA meet in the shot put (53' 6.25") along with a season and team best in the discus with a mark of (174' .08") which automatically qualified him in the NCAA meet where he finished fourth earning his second All-American award in the discus..threw an outdoor season best in the hammer with a mark of (177' 01") which placed second at the Gregory Track and Field Invitational.
