Karol Kaminski Coundourides

BW Class of 1984 | Induction Class of 1996

Karol Kaminski Coundourides ’84 was the first woman to ever earn 12 varsity letters at Baldwin Wallace University. She lettered in volleyball (4), basketball (3), track (1) and softball (4) and was named the College’s Outstanding Senior Female Athlete in 1984.

“Ski” was an Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection in volleyball, basketball and softball and was named All-OAC in volleyball and softball. She also was a member of the Dayton C. Miller and Omicron Delta Kappa honor societies and served on the editorial board of the Grindstone.

Following graduation, Kaminski went on to become the head illustrator for Marc’s Discount Stores and a staff illustrator and designer for The Advertising Connection. She also served as a CYO coach for volleyball, softball and basketball.
