In my 9th year at BW, spend all my free time at WBWC or working with students on TV/Film projects.
What have you learned while teaching at B-W?:
It is important to listen to what students think they want and equally important to tell them what it is I want from them.
What inspired you to get into college teaching?:
P. George Bird . . . my undergrad mentor; he's still teaching at EMU.
Describe the ways in which you mentor students interested in your department:
Work with them on projects, help to find internships, listen, try to inspire them and build their confidence.
If you weren't teaching what would you be doing?:
Keeping bees, farming, and fishing.
What do students like best about your class?:
It changes the way they see the world by changing the way they think.
