Bachelor of Arts
Marketing & Business Administration
Avon Lake, OH
During my time at BW I was involved in a plethora of activities, organizations, and clubs. I was involved in Varsity soccer for 2 years, and Sigma Phi Epsilon for 4 years. During that time I was president for 1 year. I was involved in S.I.F.E. for 4 years along with the Orientation and Weekend of Welcome Programs for 2 years. I was apart of the Image Committee, sat on the Greek Council and was a Greek Life Intern. I was also involved with Dance Marathon for 2 years and worked for BW during a summer.
Moving away from my activities from BW, I had two outside internships. One was with ING Financial Group and the other Moen Incorporated.
Currently, I hold a full-time position as a Marketing Coordinator with Moen Incorporated. I started in June of 2010 following the completion of my year long internship. I work in the Wholesale Business Unit and split time between Product and Target Marketing but have a plumber and builder focus.
Questions and answers
What is your favorite thing about BW?
What I liked best about BW was the students, faculty, and staff. Their passion and enthusiasm amazed me. From the moment I stepped onto campus, immediately I was overwhelmed with the opportunities BW had to offer.
What advice would you give to prospective students?
Get Involved! Build Relationships! Achieve your goals!
How did BW help you prepare for life after college?
Being a part of and leading organizations helped me take action in life after college. Having built strong relationships with faculty and staff also helped because they supported me in all I did. The education I received from professors who cared about me and the knowledge they had themselves beyond the book, made me more engaged upfront. Having built relationships with them also enabled me to seek more personalized help in making decisions outside of school. Those relationships still stand today. Being a young adult and being able to talk to professors who have worked in my field of interest made the transition of working with professionals easier.
What would you have changed about your undergraduate experience?
Just one thing, I wish I would have found time to have studied abroad. Besides that, Nothing.
