  6. Biography

I have three children and two grandchildren and I work full time in Healthcare IT as a Data Analyst. I've juggled a career in healthcare, family and school over many years and it has had its challenges. However, I love learning and I don't give up...I just pause when needed. In my spare time I like to have nice dinners, babysit my grandchildren, or just kick back with a glass of red wine!

Questions and answers

Why did you choose to attend Baldwin-Wallace?

I chose BW for a few reasons. As a transfer student, scholarships offered me an opportunity to finish an education that had been put on hold for some time. The design of the Adult Learning program, being online, allowed me the flexibility of taking courses while still maintaining my personal life yet remaining on task to graduate in two years.

What advice would you give to prospective students?

My advice to prospective students, namely adult learners, is not to hesitate in making BW one of your top choices. Don't be afraid of the challenges in the steps toward success. BW staff are very supportive, and will assist in so many ways toward achieving your educational goals.

What has been your experience with different course formats?

I have taken the majority of my courses completely online and mini A/B courses throughout my entire program. I enjoy this format because it's at my pace, and I enjoy the challenge of having to meet deadlines. Recently, I took a course once a week at BW East, in Beachwood, and it was not inconvenient.
