I was walking down Seminary Street at 7:45 in the morning on my way to my dreaded music theory class the other day. I have music theory four days a week and I am pretty much a zombie every morning. Anyway, I was walking down Seminary Street dragging my feet when I came upon a tree with a heart spray painted on the trunk.
Despite the fact that this is a blatant violation of Baldwin Wallace’s graffiti policy, seeing the heart on the tree really lifted my spirits. Suddenly I didn’t feel so tired anymore and I actually started looking forward to my music class. I’m not saying that I had a full out “come to Jesus” moment or something but just seeing that heart spray painted on a tree made me feel better about everything. It’s amazing how something so simple can put a person in such a good mood. I hope to see more uplifting violations of the graffiti policy in the future.
