Spring semester of my junior year I left Berea to explore a different part of the world, Scotland. The semester I spent at the University of Stirling was one of the best experiences of my life. From making international friends to trying out a new school system to traveling to some of the most beautiful places in the world, I experienced more than I ever thought possible.
Some parts of the experience were difficult. I definitely missed my family and occasionally I felt as if I was missing out on the wonderful things happening at BW.
Overall, I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything. A few of my most memorable moments include:
• Watching the sunset over one of the western Scottish islands.
• Going to the pub to watch a football game.
• Having an international breakfast party.
• Visiting London.
• Hiking out in the highlands with the sheep.
I would recommend study abroad to anyone who comes to BW!
