To my fabulous BW blog which will journal the life and times of one Maxwell McCurdy.
From a young age I knew that I wanted to be an archeologist and dig up dinosaurs but then I learned that bones were not located everywhere and digging gave my hands blisters. So I changed my life dream to becoming a vet, which lasted until I passed out after seeing an operation involving a dog’s intestines... It wasn’t until I performed in Oliver in tenth grade that I discovered my love of theatre and decided to make that my career, much to my mother’s dismay and fears that I will become a starving artist/homeless.
However, since coming to BW I have discovered wonderful opportunities and the skills to become successful. My mother no longer bemoans my fate...
My senior year is going to be extremely exciting. Letmetellya. I’m directing a one-act (something many undergrad colleges don’t allow students to do), I just finished costume designing (something else not many schools do) for the New Play Festival at BW which includes many plays written by students (yet another thing many colleges/universities don’t have. Isn’t BW GREAT?!), I’m also performing in one of those plays, and I’m preparing my senior recital for the end of my college career. It’s going to be an exhilarating year and I’m thrilled to have you (my lovely readers) along for the awesome journey. And while this ride may not be long, since I’ll be graduating in May, I can assure you it’s going to be epic, fun, and wildly informational!
