Questions and answers

Why did you choose to attend Baldwin-Wallace?

I chose BW because of all the colleges and universities I visited, BW was the one that actually showed any interest in me as an individual. I wasn't going to be another number coming through the door in a long list of incoming freshman, but rather a distinct face that was recognized as someone who had come to learn and be challenged.

What is your favorite thing about BW?

My favorite thing about BW, besides the amazing friends I have made, is the compassion of my teachers. They have always held my best interests to heart and have constantly gone our of their way to help me if I have come upon a road block. I have made connections with them that will last even after I have graduated.

What has BW helped you learn about yourself?

BW has helped me learn what I love: Theatre, and given me the means to follow that passion for as long as I should want. I have truly come into my own at BW. I have been introduced to so many new people and new ideas that I have grown both as an individual and as a member of the world community. I wouldn't say that I have "changed" since coming to BW, but instead matured into a more knowledgeable and active member of society.

What advice would you give to prospective students?

Come here! But in all seriousness, get involved right away. I hit the ground running my freshman year and immersed myself in as many things as possible. I built friendships, met influential people, and had an amazing time. As a Theatre major I got involved with shows right away and the faculty took notice. So I would encourage the same for you, whatever your major is, to get involved and get noticed!
