Where to start? Hip hop, R&B, rap, pop, maybe some rock and country here and there influenced by other friends. The focal is that I love music! Writing paper, walking to class, going to bed or playing Xbox more than not involves music being played. Music is a therapy that separates me from reality. When I’m in that party mood I’ll throw some Heads will Roll by A-Trak. If it’s workout time, I’m feeling more of that I Can’t Stop – Flux Pavillion. Being down in the dumps, might pump off some Blessed by Schoolboy Q. Or maybe just hanging out with some friends, Just What I am by Kid Cudi is a good route to go.
Rather than music you may find your therapy being sports or reading. This can vary for us all, we all manage in our own ways to find a therapy to satisfy us, or maintain our satisfaction. I choose music because certain song lyrics seem to relate to situations that connect to personal experiences and emotions. Example – Cudi Zone by Kid Cudi (one of my favorite songs) lyrics are one that relates to me. I’ve found that I usually listen to the same circle of songs daily. We are all different in our taste of music and by what satisfies us. Allow yourself to be diverse and open your options to different choices to find out your satisfaction.
