6. Biography

   During my time at BW, I was part of the Honors Program, a member of the football team, Mid-Night Madness, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Dance Marathon, Alternative Spring Break programs, HPGB, and many other student organizations. Outside of organizations, I worked in the Office of Admission, food service/The Colony Room, and served as an Orientation leader.

   After graduation, I went on to graduate school at Colorado State University to earn my Master's of Science in Student Affairs in Higher Education. During my time there, I worked in Residence Life, Greek Life, and did assessment work for the Division of Student Affairs.

   Currently, I live in Buffalo, New York and work for a company that assists colleges and universities with assessment, strategic planning, and managing involvement. I serve as the Assistant Director of Assessment Programs, acting as an Assessment Consultant for 35+ institutions across North America.

What is your favorite thing about BW?

I am thankful I was able to customize my experience at BW - obtaining a challenging academic experience while fulfilling my desire to be involved and active in extra-curricular activities. Students are engaged and active; faculty and staff go to great lengths to personalize student learning and take interest in student success. BW fosters a caring community where learning and development is not only fostered, but is customized to help students succeed personally and professionally.

What advice would you give to prospective students?

Be open to experiences, seize opportunities, and push yourself to be greater academically, personally, and professionally. As you challenge yourself to grow and develop, be sure to seek out and utilize resources available to you. Finally, have fun and enjoy your experiences!

How did BW help you prepare for life after college?

With intimate access to faculty and staff members, BW prepared me to be confident interacting with administrative professionals. Excellent mentorship also encouraged me to challenge myself to seize (and make) opportunities for growth and development.

What would you have changed about your undergraduate experience?

If I could change my undergraduate experience, I would try to participate in an experience abroad. BW offers such a variety of programs - varying in length and destination - I wish I would have taken advantage of the opportunities to help enrich my experience and broaden my cultural horizons.
